The scoop on dining in Orlando
from an acknowledged expert
Whatever your trade, when you gather customers, clients and employees together for a convention, you're in the information business. After spending months organizing your convention, and long hours in meetings and on the floor, the last thing you want to hear from your attendees is: Where can we eat?
Even if you've been to Orlando before, you can't possibly keep up with this vibrant, varied and always changing dining scene.
But I can.
Hi, I'm Joseph Hayes. I've been writing about Orlando since 1997: the theme parks and the natural wonders; the music, theater and art; and most importantly, the food and restaurants.
As a full-time freelance writer and trained chef, one of my specialties is knowledgeable restaurant information for magazines, newspapers, tourist bureaus, convention newsletters and websites around the world. For six years I was the Restaurant Critic for the Orlando Weekly and Orlando Magazine, and for the past three years I have served as a James Beard Foundation judge. I literally wrote the book on Orlando (Eyewitness Travel Guide Walt Disney World Resort & Orlando).
Steak lovers in the crowd, Asian food aficionados, a group of vegans, looking for old favorites or new raves, fine dining to casual snacks, downtown Orlando to Downtown Disney. Tell me what you want, that's what I'll deliver — fast, accurate and ready to use in your in-house guide or convention publication. I can even set up a webpage exclusively for your attendees, and generate custom maps of dining possibilities.
I’ll provide up-to-date and creative restaurant news, from a short, bulleted list of ten hotspots to a complete guide to dining in Orlando. Each package includes details about price range, cuisine, times and contact information. These are not "borrowed" from dubious websites or faceless, outdated guidebooks, but written by me, fully customized for you and the requirements of your business. Photos are available.
Click on the list marked "Sample Packages" for a preview of what I can offer, then let's talk.
Keeping up with restaurants in Orlando is my job ... let me help you do yours.
Best,
Joseph Hayes
